This fiber optic strip tool is designed for fiber optic cables with pre-defined strip sizes of 2mm, 900 micron and 250 micron. Fine adjustments can be done to the strip depth using the precision set screw. With its ergonomically designed handles, this tool ensures a quality strip and reduces user fatigue.
This pen shaped visual fault locator is a tool used on terminated fiber optic cables to locate sharp bends or breaks in jacketed or bare fiber.
Note: Meant for use with polished, terminated fiber cables. Always insert and remove the fiber connector without bending the connector to avoid breaking the ceramic tube.
This pen shaped Visual Fault Locator is a tool used on fiber cables to locate sharp bends or breaks in jackets or bare fiber.
Note: Do not use inferior fiber pigtail or patch cord, the connector must be well polished, always vertically insert and pull out the fiber connector (or the ceramic tube may break).
This MPO/MTP removal tool is used to remove the outer housing of a MPO/MTP fiber optic connector, typically used to reverse Method A/B pinout or to add guide pins.
Note: Pinout cannot be reversed on singlemode MPO/MTP cable due to the angled face of the connector.
These mechanical splices are 40mm in length. (For use with our FO-SPLICE-KIT SpliceConnect Universal Mechanical Splicing Tool Kit)
The TL-CT08 cleaver is an extremely rugged, durable, and easy to use single fiber cleaver. Ideal for FTTH applications, the TL-CT08 provides unmatched levels of impact resistance and also eliminates the requirement for tools during blade rotation. A thumbwheel on the bottom of the cleaver is utilized for blade rotation, and the blade position indicator has been relocated to enable quick and easy viewing. The top clamp opens to a position past vertical allowing for easy viewing, cleaning, and adjustment of the cleave length. The blade is retracted automatically when opening the top clamp and is activated upon closing, making this a true one-step cleaver. The cleaver blade and fiber clamping mechanism is extremely easy to replace in the field. A manual scrap collector is included.
AFL’s SpliceConnect is a mechanical splice that
provides an inexpensive, quick alternative to mating fibers. Using V-groove
technology, this splice maintains physical contact between the fibers. An
assembly tool is used to ensure the fibers are mated correctly, resulting in
<0.1 dB insertion loss (typical for single-mode). The SpliceConnect secures
both fiber and coating independently with the U-shaped sleeve, enhancing the
strength against fiber twist.
